Ku-rin-gai N.P Bairne Track medium 10km all on good fire trail mostly easy with a good lookout.  Meet at track head West Head Road 9am. Cars only.

Saturday 22 June:

Nepean River circuit. Easy approx. 8km. Train from Central 8.24am arrive Emu Plains Station 9.17am. Those driving meet at Emu Plains station. Railway Row 9.20am parking at Billington Place car park next to Station. A short walk to the start of the walk. We will cross the new Yandhai Bridge and walk along the Southern section of the river. Cross the Motorway on the track; and then follow the Northern section back to the Station. That is after a nice coffee at a delightful café in the park.

Saturday 29 June: 

Sydney Harbour N.P. The coast walk, from Christison Park, start where New and Old South Head Roads meet. Walk along cliff tops visit two lighthouses and several beaches. Possible 5km or extension from Watsons Bay to Tivoli Street, 9km. Easy - some steps. Buses from City 324 and 325 Elizabeth Street near corner of Park Street. Town Hall nearest station.

Manly Dam circuit. Medium walk 8.5km. A varied scenic walk, with some steps and steeper sections. Cars needed. Possible to get a bus to cnr. Condamine Street and King Street, Manly Vale. Contact: Hildegard: 0425 378 968 email: hildegardschultes31@gmail.com

 

Saturday 13 July:

Creeks and forest at Bidjigal Reserve; A delightful scenic walk hidden in the northern suburbs. Cars needed. Approx. 8km medium, ascent and decent 140metres. Take Windsor Road, cross M2 and take a right turn second on the right into Cook Street, turn right into Park Street then left and then right into Ted Horwood Park. Meet 9am in the car park.

Sunday 21 July:

Sydney Harbour N.P. Heritage walk Cockatoo Island (Wareamah). 60,000 years of indigenous history. Easy walk around the island avoiding steps. Learn about indigenous history and recent use of island. Meet 9.45am at ferry from Circular Quay, wharf 5 departs 10.07 (every 30mins). Toilets and café on the island. Bring lunch, hat and sunscreen.

Manly Wharf to North Head Lookouts and return 11km medium Meet Manly wharf at 9.05am Ferry from Circular Quay at 8.40am arrives 9am Manly.

Sunday 4 August - Bloody Long Walk (Sydney North). A 35km walk from Palm Beach to Manly.  The fee is $135.00 and you need to fundraise to help cure Mitochondrial disease.   For more information and to be notified of when entries open:  https://www.bloodylongwalk.com.au/lp/sydney-north/

A team is usually needed to do this walk, so please let Jocelyn know if you are interested in joining a Bush Lemons team.
